Saving word as jpeg or gif

Not from Word, no. But if you download the free trial of SnagIt
(www.techsmith.com), you can "print" a document to the SnagIt printer, which
renders each page as a graphic, which you can save in JPEG format.

You could copy and paste the text to PAINT and save it as a jpeg or gif
