Saving Word Attachments to Outlook - HELP

I am having a problem with Word attachments in Outlook and
Outlook Express. They can be opened OK. But if we try
to "save as", Word freezes and then we must end task to
continue.

I notice that this does not happen if Word is already
open. And it happens even when Norton AntiVirus is
disabled.

I had thought this was an Outlook problem but now I think
it is related to Word. Does anyone have a solution for me?

Are you using Norton Anti Virus? Open NAV and disable the Office Plug-in.

I don't have your answer, but my post of 9/23 "Paste
failure.." has similarities.

The failure does *not* occur if Word is already open.

If you got Word as part of Works Suite and have not uninstalled the
Microsoft Works Suite Add-in for Word, one of its nasty tricks is clearing
the Clipboard when you start Word.
