A user here is using Office XP. Saving a file from the Word program results
in the saved document with a "generic" Windows icon. She can reopen the file
but other user's can't.
Using Explorer and viewing the file types, files with a .doc extension are
associated with the "generic" Windows icon. Deleting this file extension and
recreating it results in the "generic" icon being recreated for the .doc
extension.
How can I reassociate the .doc extension with the correct (Word) icon?
TIA
