Saw a strange cd at a shop.

Office Xp Cd.

Why is it strange?

On the cd it says office xp-Illegal without separate license from
Microsoft. The is not an oem version, not an updgrade, not a retail,
Not educational.

Could some explain this strange type of cd to me?

sounds like a "media-only" kit. That is, it requires a COA (which contains
a CD key) to install, purchased separately.

I made a mistake it says on the cd it says office xp-Illegal without
separate license purchased from Microsoft.

I forgot to include the word "purchase"
It won't install unless you buy the license from Microsoft.

He not selling it any way. It was just given to him.
