Hello,
I'm running Office Pro 2003 (on XP Home) and when I check for updates, 4
required updates pop up, but then it states these are already downloaded.
When I try to download them again, I get an installation failed error.
I checked my registry per KB884298 and it looks fine. This has me stumped...
Here's what the download screen is showing for Required Updates (checked
green to indicate download):
--------------------------------------------
Security Update for Word 2003 (KB887979)
0 KB / Already Downloaded
Update for Office 2003 French Grammar Checker (KB873381)
0 KB / Already Downloaded
Update for Office 2003 French Spelling Checker and Thesaurus (KB892258)
0 KB / Already Downloaded
Update for Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter (KB895658)
0 KB / Already Downloaded
0 KB / Download Time = 0 min at your connection speed
-----------------------------
If this is just a glitch, I can live with it. Just need to know how to
confirm these have been downloaded (or how to show the scanning program these
are in fact downloaded), just to make sure I'm actually protected.
Thanks!
