Having trouble completing the office update because I don't have the cd

Hi Jean,

The file is on the MS Office Small Business Edition CD.
Check that the CD you have and the Office edition listed in
Add/Remove programs in the Windows control panel have
the same title & edition.

Well, since posting this, I did find the cds. However, I realized I was
trying to update something I don't have. Microsoft Office Updates was
telling me I needed this update, but I don't have Office 2000, I have Office
XP so I don't even know why it came up saying I needed this update. It was
coming up saying it couldn't do the update but not telling me why and I
figured out eventually that was why.

Hi Jean,

If the update site is suggesting an Office 2000 update
you may want to check in Add/Remove Programs in the
Windows Control Panel to see if there are any 2000 series
apps still installed. SBERET.MSI would not be part of
a 2000 series application.

You're right. When I look in add/remove programs, I do see Microsoft Office
2000 Standard. The cd, however, reads Microsoft Office XP Ver. 2002 and the
other cd in the package reads Microsoft Office XP Small Business. I have
both Office 2000 Standard and Office XP Small Businss in add/remove programs.
So how come I can't run the update? I was seeing some remarks that made it
sound like there were some problems people were experiencing with this
update. Do you concur?
