I am having a similiar problem. My hp pavilion 7905 came loaded with office small business, about 2 years ago. I did not get and of the CDs. Several months ago I started getting the error message that it could not find sberet.msi when I tried to open Office or when I booted up. If I cancel the error message then Office opens up ok. I would like to get rid of this annoying error mesasge. What is the solution to this problem? Thanks

Hi Otto
Office XP consists of '2002 version' applications, suc
as Word 2002, Excel 2002
Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Pane
to see what edition of Microsoft Office is installed o
your PC. If the CD you have does not match that yo
can contact the PC supplier (if it was installed with th
PC) to get the correct CD or you can backup your files
uninstall that edition, restart the PC and then instal
the CD edition you do have
MS Office XP Small Business Edition would be the mos
common package that was preinstalled on new PCs prio
to October 2003

When attempting to install Office XP Version 2002 SP
updates per Office Update, I am prompted to insert m
Office XP Small Business Disk in order to acces

The specific updates I am having trouble with are
Word 2002 SP2 KB83034
Excel 2002 SP2 KB830350 >
