Scale PivotChart to include missing date ranges with Excel 2007

Hi there,

I have a data entry spreadsheet that has some info such as date, time,
location, event, etc, and want to have a pivotchart display some
graphs that show:

number of events by day of the month
number of events by day of the week
number of events by hour period of day

There isn't an event each day of the week or month, or at every hour
of every day. Is there a way to scale the chart so that it includes
the missing days/hours with a zero value?

At the moment, the horizontal (date) axis looks something like:

1, 7, 10, 11, 19

but I would rather it look like:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 ...etc

The data entry sheet is updated regularly with new entries, and there
may be more than one entry per day, so I don't really want to have to
manually enter in dummy rows with a date/time and no event for dates
in the future to flesh out the chart.
