All,
Kind of a complicated question:
If we build project server with the web stuff and analysis services on the
front end (but not the DBs), can we ever add another 2003 Server and put
Project Server on it and configure it identical to the first one (connecting
to the existing DB’s) OR….if the load on the first machine got too large,
could we (without interruption to the users) build another machine and use
that for the WSS and Analysis services (or just the Analysis Services).
Basically, if all the SQL roles are on one box and all the other roles are
on another (WSS, Analysis, PWA). How hard would it be to move those roles to
another machine….and for the PWA piece, how hard would it be to add another
IIS server via a Load Balancer (which we have here on the networking side so
the load balancing would not have to be done via Windows).
We are in the early planning stages of migrating from Project Server 2002 to
2003.
Any help would be appreciated.
