scan circle ONLY into visio - no corners

When scan picture, can't get rid of corners so that only circle left. Using
it for plants/landscaping so ending up with square overlaps on plan!

Yes, I don't think you can get a transparent background in Visio...

You best bet is to send your artwork to back (Ctrl + B) then it won't cover
up any other shapes.

Thanks Chris
I knew about sending stuff forward & back (just!) but the problem is the
corners of the scanned pictures - I need to eliminate the corners of pictures
I scan in so that only circular plants are left then I can muck about with
what goes where - front/back etc. Don't think I'm making myself very clear,
am I?!! Thanks a lot anyway

Hi Chris
Many thanks. I know a little about sending stuff forward & back but the
problem is the corners from pictures I've scanned in. I need to get rid of
the corners so that what's left is just a circle - then I can mess about with
them front/back etc. Sorry if I seem an idiot!!
Thanks again

You can't have transparent backgrounds, which is what you need for a bitmap
that has circular details. Visio ONLY handles rectangular bitmaps.

If you are talking about extra details beyond the circle, well, you need to
crop the bitmap. This is easily done in Paint or any other bitmap editor,
and Visio even has a crop tool on the Picture toolbar. This will let you get
the rectangle to tightly enclose the circle, so at least you'll have less
junk outside of your circles.

The crop tool lets you hide stuff out on the edges of your bitmap.

Hope we're getting closer...
