scan into table and display results

We want to use a bar code scanner to enter some data into an Access table, do some calculations and display results back to the scanners screen. It is a Symbol P370 scanner and we figured out how to get the data into Access but am not sure how to see data from Access on the scanner. We are using this to handle shipping where the scanner scans a part number and qty in a box and displays back remaining qty. There is more than this but this is the basic idea
Any ideas?
