Scan pst Outlook 2007 won't respond

I have made more space, almost 50% on my hard drive, ran Scan Pst several
times, each time it won't respond and takes hours to complete, tried safe
mode, nothing works.

How big is the pst-file that you are attempting to fix?
Depending on its size, it indeed could take hours to complete and
scanpst.exe may appear unresponsive to you. If scanpst.exe is unable to
repair your pst-file, you can use several other recovery tools to try and
fix the pst-file.
