Is it possible to scan documents into Access? Example: we send out letters
and would want to be able to see copy of letter(s) sent. Could these be in a
table with an identifying code so we could query on what was sent to whom and
then if necessary could see the document?

There is no need because you can store the letters somewhere else and just
have the location in your access table.
e.g. you put your document in c:\Documents\January

Your table has a column called DocLoc which contains the location
"c:\Documents\January" plus whatever other information you need about the
document.
