Please see my messages of 9/16-18 to see the history of this. Rather than
add to those threads, which I didn't know if anyone would notice, I decided
to start a new thread.
------
This is really getting strange now. As I wrote before, when I downloaded and
installed the OneNote Demo before, although I am in the US, had accessed the
demo from Microsoft US web site, my Office installation is in English, the
OneNote demo ended up being in a Scandinavian language, which someone
suggested was probably Swedish or Danish.
Following suggestions, I re-downloaded the demo, this time being VERY
careful that the language of the download was listed as English.
I've been very busy though, so although I downloaded it over a week ago, I
didn't install it until tonight. It was definitely the newer download I
installed, with the file date of 9/19 (date of download), the prior file had
been deleted before this one was downloaded.
I executed the install file, and what a surprise! Unbelievable! Again I see
dialogues in a Scandinavian language. And this time quite a different one, I
suspect actually Finnish this time. I clicked the word I guessed meant
"cancel", and didn't proceed with the installation. From a .tmp log file it
left in my temp folder, I will quote some of it, in case that gives anyone a
clue as to what language it is:
