scanned document does not appear in Microsoft Document Imaging

Hi all,

It used to be that I could run Microsoft Document Imaging, choose Scan New
Document from the File menu, and after the scanning was completed and the
scanning dialog was closed the scanned image would appear in Microsoft
Document Imaging. After reinstalling everything after my system crash when I
dismiss the scan dialog I return to MODI showing "document 1" as before I
scanned. The file shows up on disk, but I have to open it to get it into
MODI. How can I get things to work the way they used to?

I am using a HP PSC2175 all-in-one on WINXP SP2 with Office 2003 standard,
MODI version 11.0.1897.0, which I was using before.

[x] View after scanning
