Scanned TIFFs are to "large" after importing in Word

Hi,

I scanned a signature and saved it as TIFF (b/w). If that
TIFF-scan is imported(insert pictures from files) in Word,
the scan/signature is shown/displayed much too large.

Even after reducing the size of the scan in Photoshop,
the situation is the same: The scan is still much too
large but now the "pixel effect" is more visible.

Is that a feature of Word or did I forget something
important?

Any tip is appreciated!

Round here, Word seems to respect the dpi of the scan. If I scan my
signature at 300 dpi, save it as a tiff and insert->picture, it comes
in exactly the same size as I wrote it.

You may have mucked it up on Photoshop, but one thing you might try is
simply selecting the imported picture in Word, grabbing a corner with
the mouse and dragging it smaller.

GraphicConverter is a recommended tool for resizing and adjusting the
dpi of images.
