There is another way to get to the scanner instead of going through the Clip Art
dialog. See http://www.gmayor.com/scan_into_word_2007.htm.

If you still get an error message and you need to post here again, it's very
important to quote _exactly_ the _entire_ text of the error message -- just
"saying error" isn't enough to let us help you.

There's nothing wrong with the code you showed, so the problem must be with
how you're trying to run it. Did you create a Quick Access Toolbar button
for it?

"Break mode" is the state you get when either you single-step with F8 in the
VBA editor or you press Ctrl+Break while the macro is running. You shouldn't
get that if you use a button.

Made the toolbar & it works, But my HP Scanner is not listed under DEVICE.
How do i get it there ?

I don't know a definitive answer to that. Like Graham, I use an Epson
scanner and the Epson TWAIN driver just shows up in the list.

The list is populated from entries in the registry. You could try
uninstalling the HP scanner driver and reinstalling it to see if that
refreshes the list. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest looking at the support
forum on HP's web site (http://www.hp.com/#Support).
