I am running Office 2007 under Vista and just discovered Windows Photo
Gallery. I tried using it to scan multiple pages with my HP all-in-one 6300,
which has a document feeder. WPG found the scanner just fine, prompted me to
specify the source (Feeder: Scan One Side), let me choose the resolution,
etc. and then took off and dutifully scanned about 15 pages. Trouble is that
this resulted in only one .TIF file, with only the first page in the file...
and the file size was about right for just one page, no hidden additional
pages in the file. So, where are all the other pages that got scanned?
There is a box in the setup screen for scanning or previewing images as
separate files, but it's grayed-out and unclickable. The ability to walk
away while a long document is scanned is valuable. Is there hope? I can't
find much under Help.
