Scanning questions

I have a company with several outlets in various locations. I need to be
able to scan documents (from remote locations) and have them sent/saved to a
folder on the server at my HQ. I can do this manually but would rather some
automation as far as save paths and file extensions. Office scanning seems
to only want to save in .tiff or .mdi?, I would prefer these be saved as
jpegs. Can you offer any assistance?

If I use the dell driver for the scans it allows for saving as jpeg but it
is realy slow.

Is the purchase of scanning equipment a possibility or are you limited
by what they now have?

Why do you want a "document" saved as a .jpg? .tif and .mdi are the more
logical extensions.

Using only Office applications, your choice is limited to Save as tiff
and then Open in Picture manager and Export to JPG. Anything else will
require third party software.

Thank you for your responses. I have rethought this and seen the error in
my assumptions. Jpeg is not what I need and am now happy to use the default
formats.

Thanks for takeing the time all.
