Xp, Word2002, HP5600xi All-in-one printer.
Hello, we have our own printed forms that we'd like to scan, edit and
print. It's just a printed page of text- no pictures. I can't figure
out how to do this.
The flatbed scanner comes up as two options: HP5600xi TWAIN and
HP5600xi. After a great parade of science I get a blurry picture of
the text inserted into the word doc that I can't edit. I just want the
text. I need to change the wording and reprint it. Simple, right?
If I "import from scanner or camera" under Word/Insert then Word hangs
and the Scanner say's "scan function not available, check owners
manual". I have to close Word with the Task Manager, run the Camera
and Scanner Wizard from Accessories and save the scan to a TIF file.
Is there a way to turn the TIF into a doc I can tweak?
What am I doing wrong?
