Scanning text to works

I am unable to scan from my hp 6210 officejet to my new hp laptop and
download scanned text to the works program. My older desktop is able to do
this. What patch or update do I need to get to overcome this problem. Why can
I not even find a works section in the Disscussion group area?

Hi Dad,

The links below will take you to the MS Works discussion group.
You may need to install and run the scanner software from that model with Twain drivers rather than with the newer WMI type drivers.

Hi bob i just tried to send you a email ( to a compuserve address)thanking
you for your consideration regarding my situation but it came back.

I dont quite understand what it was you suggested.
I need my new laptop to allow me to choise microsoft works as an option to
send my scanned document to, other than just Picture it! or Note pad. Which
just makes a mess of it.
I dont have this problem on my older desktop, It gives me the works option.
Thank you ever so much for your time.
