I have posted this on another forum and have not had any luck in a response.
Hope you all can help. I receive an error when I load Outlook 2007. My pst
file cannot be opened and I should run the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst) to
fix. When I do that, scanpst gets to a point where it aborts and no changes
were made to the file. I have run scanpst 5 or 6 times and each time I get
the same error. Outlook cannot open the file in normal OR safe mode. I have
also run the disk error checking program and defragged the drive. Still no
luck ...
I am running Windows Vista Ultimate, 32 bit. I have booted in safe mode and
stopped everything I could prior to running scanpst. I have also executed the
program as administrator. In all cases, I received the same error message. I
have also scoured the Microsoft communitities and KB for help and have found
nothing about this problem. The error I am receiving is a scanpst error so
either I have a unique problem or Outlook has some kind of a bug. The file is
large ... ~6GB.
Are there any software repair utilities that are reasonably priced? Any
other technical advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help ...
