Scatter Chart Labels

Yes, I have that problem, have to copy each label, my
work blocks all dl's EVEN MICROSOFT.COM!!!!

As far as the quadrant part, that is easy, average your X
& Y #'s (if that is what you want). Whatever the average
is put it in the category X crosses at in your scale, and
do the same for category Y cross at. If its not an
average you want, just put in whatever number you want.
If you want for equal quadrants put for example: .5 if
your chart is 0-100%, or .25 if it is 0-50%.

by Rob and by John are simple and robust. No need to reinvent anything
here.

Hi Jon,

I understood he was prohibited from downloading files at work.

My "Chart Data Labels" add-in was started in Feb 1999 and I doubt if I will
ever "finish" it. It does have a few wrinkles the others don't have - for
instance its prevents labels from bunching up against an edge of the chart.
Positioning can be done in a straight line or relative to an existing label
position and labels are easily restored to the default position. Also, it
looks pretty good.
It won't work on surface charts and while you cannot position labels on
doughnut, radar or area charts, you can add formatted labels to them. Its
development has been frustrating, educational and occasionally rewarding.

I noticed Dan's restriction after I hit Send. That Send button is a
great comprehension enhancement tool, but only after you press it.

The frustrations you've encountered are part of the reason I suggested
going with a known solution. But the tricks you my have picked up while
making labels go where you want could be interesting. If you don't
mind, I wouldn't mind seeing a copy. Could you email it to me?
