Scatter plot with 2 (or more) different Y-axes

Is is possible to make a scatter-plot in excel, where you have 2
different Y axes. I need to plot chromatography column results, where
I have two different variables for a given X-value (for example, at a
given X value of 20 ml, the sample will have an OD and a
conductivity). I know you can do this for line graphs, but is there a
way to do it for scatter plots?

TIA

Hi David,

I'm not so sure I understand what you want.
You can easely use different series in a scatter plot that have the same
X values and use different Y values (or even have different X values).
If Excel doesn't automaticaclly pick it up for you, you can set it in
the "series" pane in the scatter plot configuration as you create the
graph through the Chart Wizard.

Now it would be quite different if you need to have one and only dot
representing both the optical density and conductivity for a given
volume. You'd need a 3D graph putting the conductivity in the z axis. Is
it what you want ??? I suspect it might be and in this case, to the best
of my knowledge, Excel does not provide any option for 3D scatter ploits
(funny, I was just discussing this in the lab today :))) ).
