Scattergram

Hi,
I'm struggling with what should be simple. A scattergram
showing students results of tests in relation to
predictions. Spreadsheet has 3 columns Name, Test result,
prediction. Aiming to get x axis Test result y axis
prediction. each student plotted as a point!

I get some pretty bizarre results!

Select the columns with Test and Prediction; now make an XY chart

Hi,

In addition to Bernards suggestion on plotting the xy values. You can
use Rob Bovey's free XY Chart Labeler add-in to add labels to the data
points.

Thanks, but unfortuantley, the best I get is where one
axis shows the students, and two points are created, one
for Test and one for Prediction. I'm looking for Test
being one axis, prediction being the other, and one point
at the relevant position for each student. This differs a
little from the example in the wizard.

Bernard implied, don't select the column with the student names. Just select the numerical
columns and make your chart. Then you can use Andy's suggestion if you want to label the points
with the student names.
