Schedule Project Manger

I would like to schedule a task for 4 hours on Monday and 2 hours on
Wednesday for the duration of a project. Is there a way to do this in
project. I have tried setting the hours in the Task Sheet but project keeps
moving the work over the duration and spreading the hours over the week.

Why don't you create two recurring tasks using Insert - Recurring Task? You
could set the Duration of the first recurring task as 4 hours every Monday
and the second as 2 hours every Wednesday. If you have completely planned
all tasks in the project with estimated Durations, you can allow the
software to automatically calculate how many recurrences you need.
Otherwise, you can estimate how many you need and then adjust this as needed
through the life of the project. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

This worked great. Thanks. Can you help with a second part of my problem.
Tracking actual effort vs planned. When i enter the Actual Work in Task
Usage the Work number also changes

this happens for both - when actual work exceeds work, and when it is less.
I tested on a short duration task and now see how it adjusts the hours.
