Schedule Template

Hi All

I've created a master template for all the PM's (including myself) to use as
a starting point. It has custom views etc. I've noticed I can add fields
into the global which is great. However, I've used the custom outline for
which there is no options in the fields tab in the global.mpt organiser.

Does this have to be imported for each project? If so, its no big deal -
just wanted to ask.

Thanks in advance, H

Hi H,

Sorry, I don't follow. When I created a custom outline code
(OutlineCode1) with a lookup list, the field does show in the
Organizer and can be copied to Global.mpt. Once copied to
global.mpt, the field can be inserted into any view and the lookup
list appears.

When you are looking at the organizer, do you have the correct type
of field selected? For example, if you made the custom outline code
field in a task view, you need to make sure you've selected the Task
radio button in the upper left corner of the organizer dialog.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi Julie

I'll take another look on the said file as its at work. As you say, it can
be done so perhaps I was overlooking something basic like a radio button to
select the task view.

Will report back! :)

Speak soon, H
