Scheduled Backup not running

Hi, I need to find out why my Project 2007 Scheduled backup does not run?

Where can i check the logs or get a idea what is happening. I am talking
about the Functionality under "Server Settings" -> "Database Administration"
-> "Schedule Backup"

Hi there,

I would suggest looking at the SQL event Logs. Anything relating to
the archived database. I must stress at this point this is NOT
the suggested backup method for an EPM 2007 environment. I would
rather do a sharepoint farm backup and then also do A backup
of the 4 Project Databases.

Hi,

one question: is your OLAP cube configured to update automatically and this
works?

Have a look at job definitions in central administration under operations.
There should be several jobs named backup job for project server. If they are
not there, your backups will never execute. If they are there, then there is
probably a access denied somewhere in the windows event log.

Check the SharePoint Timer Service is running.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if this service weren't running, I believe the
entire system would become inoperable. It seems every action in the system
spawns an SP timer job.

thanks for your responses... i actually forget about this post and never got
any emails.

I am still having the trouble...

i dont c much in the SQL Eventlogs...

Sander:
Olap is configured to update Automatically and it is working.
I dont see any "Backup job for Project Server" i do see
i do see "Project Server 'SharedServices9:http://inet/PWA' job
'ScheduledBackup'"
and the last run time is this morning which is correct.

there is 7 of these jobs between 4am and 5am.

The Timer service is running.
