Hi,

Wanted to allow Resources to enter Scheduled in Timesheet.
Can this be possible ? I have published Actual date fields

Thanks in Advance.

If by "Scheduled", you mean the Baseline Start and Baseline Finish fields,
then yes, you can publish them to each user's timesheet as well. Click
Tools - Customize - Published Fields and add them to the list of published
fields. Remember to click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments to
"push" these new fields to PWA. Hope this helps.

Hi,

I meant the Schdeuled Dates not baseline dates. We want
task resources to manage the time when they will start (re-
schedule), there would be only one resource per task, in
this scenario.

Let me know, how to publish scheduled start dates as
editable in PWA.

The Start field contains the scheduled start date for the task. It is not
an editable field and cannot be changed to make it an editable field.

An alternative approach would be to select an enterprise custom task Date
field, rename it as the Scheduled Start field, and then add it to the list
of Published fields as an editable field. The team member could then
propose a new Start date for their task assignment, and the project manager
could review this information and make adjustments wherever necessary.
There is no default way to accomplish what you want to do, however, so using
a custom field is probably your only way to do it. Hope this helps.

Sriram,

If it is possible, it would allow your resources to set constraints on
all of their tasks, which would cripple the software and remove
flexibility from your plan. It's generally not a good idea for anyone
to set a Start or Finish date on a project, unless absolutely
necessary.
