scheduling 1 hour a day for 20 weeks

Hello,
Say I have a 1 hour tasks per week. for 20 weeks.
I created a task for 20 hours.
But is there an easy way to tell it to do 1 hour a week?

Greg,

Make the task Fixed Duration

In duration column enter 20w for 20 weeks
Then WINDOW > Split

under work for the resource enter 20h

Then go View > Resource Usage

You will see the resource is assigned 0.2 hrs every day for 20 weeks
But now if the resource submits say 1 hour on Wed ( it will make Mon and Tue
planned as zero but will still show 0.2 and 0.2 for Thu anf Fri. You can make
it Zero via Project.

Hi Greg,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

Another way is to Insert/Recurring Task... select a weekly task and the day
you want. Then you can adjust each one to meet when the hour was actually
done.
