Scheduling a reoccuring mail message?

L

Linn Kubler

Hi,

Is it possible to schedule a mail message to be sent on a reoccurring
schedule? For example, I want to send an email out to a distribution list
every Saturday morning at 8:00. I would prefer not to have to handle this
every week so automating this would be best.

We use Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2000 backend.

I'm thinking that scripting might be the best approach, then I could use the
Task Scheduler but am not sure how or does Outlook have this functionality
built in? Or is this a question best posted to the Exchange news group?

Thanks in advance,
Linn

Try our email scheduler (http://www.repeatmail.com) which will allow you to
send multiple individual emails, html or plain text, with attachments,
either as a one-off or regularly at a specified time and interval. The
recipients list can be drawn from your Outlook Contacts, a plain text
file, database or spreadsheet. It also allows you to specify the interval
between each send so as to avoid triggering any spam limits on your account.
Outlook is not needed to send. Your machine needs to be switched on, but you
don't even have to be logged in. Works with Win 98/XP/2003/Vista

Hi Vince,

Thanks for the prompt response. Looks like a good article, however, I found
the following article that should work a little better for me. It's simple
to execute and I can setup a scheduled task really easy to automate the
processing.

I also found this link on the bottom of the artcle you posted, looks like a
good process for sending more complex email messages, ones with pictures and
such like a news letter.

Thanks again for the suggestion,
Linn
