Scheduling a Resource for a recurring meeting

I have set up our meeting rooms as resources so they can be booked at the time the user creates the meeting, by inviting the resource from the Attendee screen.

The meeting is a recurring one however, but the meeting is declined saying that the meeting must be booked separately with this resource.

Is there somewhere within the resource itself that I need to mark as allowing it to be booked for recurring meetings?

Yes. You need to start Outlook with a profile that logs directly into the resource mailbox. Then use Tools | Options | Calendar Options | Resource Scheduling to set your preferences.

Yes - this is what I did to set the profile up and set the permissions for people to book the room but can see nothing there at allows/denies recurring meetings as either a check box or permission.

Are you able to be specific as to what the setting is?

The Resource Scheduling dialog offers these settings:

-- Automatically accept meeting requests and process cancellations
-- Automatically decline conflicting meeting requests
-- Automatically decline recurring meeting requests

You want the third one to be disabled.
