scheduling multiple resources

When scheduling multiple resources (i.e. conference room and a projector), if
a meeting request is sent at a time when one resource is available and
another is not, a pop up states that you have to select another time because
the resource is not available. However, the available resource automatically
accepts and gets booked.

Is there a way to ensure that both resources are available before either is
booked (i.e. without visually comparing the calendars in the meeting request)?

I am using Oulook 2003 with an exchange server.

Thanks

I'm planning for some operator error. If someone doesn't check, or makes a
mistake, and just hits send, the message doesn't send and the non-conflicting
resource books even though the meeting isn't actually set

The resources are set up as a mailbox.

Thanks!

That's what the scheduling tab is for... enter the room and equipment and
check their availability. If its not available, are the resources in a
public folder or a mailbox?

ok - if they are in a mailbox, then the free/busy should be available, so
the only problem is making the organizer check the scheduling tab first.
