Scheduling (Recurring event)...Help Please!

I am trying to develop a maintenance program that will take a PM item and
schedule it based on frequency. Similar to the recurring events in Outlook.

I would like to take a PM item and assign a frequency (say weekly, or
monthly). then put this schedule into a table.

How do i go about this task?
Is there an ActiveX that will do this for me?
