When a user deletes a Calendar item from their Calendar it
leaves the canceled meeting in the main Calendar
preventing conference
room and it's resources to be re-scheduled.

What method do you use to book the meetings now?

Deletion is not the way to "cancel" a meeting. Meetings
should be "Cancelled" via the ACTIONS menu in the
meeting itself.
