Greg,

1. The control button is located on your keyboard,
normally in two locations and is labeled Ctrl.

2. The Menu Bar is normally located at the top of a Word
document and contains the items: File Edit View...etc....

3. Normal View is not a button, but a selection obtained
by clicking View | Normal on the menu bar.

4. Word does not have a mode button per se, but does
indeed have various modes, like full screen mode.

5. There is not a left tab button, but you can select a
left tab when setting tabs. There are right tabs, left
tabs, center tabs, etc.

1. The control *button* (as opposed to the Ctrl key) is located on the title
bar. I think it's probably the one with the Word logo. Right-clicking on it
gives you the window control menu.

3. There is a button for Normal view on the horizontal scroll bar.

5. The tab selector button to the left of the ruler bar is by default a Left
Tab button.
