Screen artifacts ...

You think that the screen artifact problem was bad in OS X.2 - just wait
until some of you install OS X.3 - they get even worse.

Now, instead of being able to change pages to fix the artifacts, they
stay on! Even when in presentation mode!

MS needs to fix this problem! It has haunted mac users for the past
three years. It will prevent me from updating my office to the new OS -
or I will consider switching to Keynote.

I need a fix or an estimate as to when this problem will be solved.

Actually it is across three different lines of laptops: the new 15"
powerbook, the older 15" powerbook and a 14" iBook.

To clarify, the artifacts are not caused by moving a box, or item. They are
caused by drawing lines on the screen. Like arrows or connectors. Some lines
are then drawn in the same place, but on the following screen (sometimes
moved over slightly).

The problem is only happening on OS X.3 - I would blame Apple, but I have
no problems at all in any other application. If the artifacts only appeared
in design mode then I could tell everyone to ignore them, but they also
appear in presentation mode.

I have tried everything from changing the resolution to changing all of
powerpoints preferences one at a time. Please help :(

Hi James,

Legitimate users of beta operating systems have channels to report bugs that
they find. If you are a legitimate user of a beta version of Panther please
use the proper forum.

Thanks.

Hi Jim,
I have reported this problem to the proper Apple Forums - however, I believe
this to be a problem with PowerPoint, of which I too am a "legitimate
user". The problem still persists, and on the day that Panther is released
to the public, mark my words - you will see this problem posted again and
again. Even if I have no solution, I want someone at MS to be made aware of
it so that they can fix it.

Hi again,

Use the feedback feature on PowerPoint's Help menu. That will let you tell
Microsoft about the problem.
