Screen clipping only results in black images

When I try to use screen clipping sometimes instead of getting a "greyed"
image to start with the whol screen just goes white. Then if I try to guess
at where the image would have been and select a box, I just get a black
image. It happens on both my work PC and my personal laptop which have
radically different graphics abilities and hardware, but both high end. The
only way I've seen to fix this is to reboot. What do I do to fix this?

Please help. I'm really trying hard to like this program but keep running
into issues, like this one, that ruin it for me.

Do you have SP1 installed? I've never seen that happen but I'd probably
check your video drivers first.

Hmmm....and do you have the most recent video drivers installed? What
screen resolution are you operating at?

I don't think I have a problem with the video drivers. They're up to date. My
laptop is set at 1440 x 900. my desktop is set at 1280 x 1024 I believe. I'll
have to check on that when I'm back at work tomorrow.
