It would appear that this problem is note yet fixed. I have just
downloaded
and check for updates on trial version of OneNote2007 and have up to
date IE7
and I get this problem of url for the first tab being attached to screen
clippings no matter which tab they are taken from.
:
Since I just discovered this bug in OneNote 2003 using IE7, I'll
belatedly
answer the op system question. I'm using XP, all service packs and
updates
are current for both XP and OneNote 2003. The bug is the same as
reported
here by others: when I use "insert screen clipping," the URL is for the
first
tab and not the tab that I'm inserting from.
:
Are you testing this on Vista or XP?

Strange. I cannot reproduce with ON2007. But the bug has been
submitted
and hopefully it can be resolved.

This also happens with me using IE7 and OneNote 2007 (both up to
date). OneNote always uses the URL from the first tab.
:
I can't repro that on my computer, with ON2003 or with ON2007.
What versions/service packs are you running of ON2003, IE7, or
Windows?

Using IE7, open two websites (two tabs). Now, with OneNote,
take a
screen clipping from the SECOND website (second tab) and
insert in
ON.
You should see the clipping, BUT the url displayed below it
is
from
the FIRST website (first tab). IN fact, you could open ten
tabs,
do a clip from any and the resulting clipping will still show
the
url from the FIRST tab only. This is in ON 2003. Can you
reproduce this problem?
