Screen Clippings

OneNote is great for doing a screen clipping but is there a quick way to
take the clipping and save it as a separate jpg or bmp file? I had to copy
and paste it into another program and then crop and resave it. There must be
an easier way.

Dennis,
After you do your screen clipping, go to the other file and paste. You
should see your screen clipping.... :)

I don't want the clipping in another file. I want an image file (jpg, bmp,
etc.). For example someone will want me to email a screen image. I use the
screen clipping feature to select the portion of the screen I want to send.
Now I have to convert it to a jpg to attach it to an email. I guess I could
just copy and paste it into an email but is there an easy way to create the
image file?

Hey Dennis,

Someone else may have offered this, but I don't see it so I will. What
Kathryn was saying is, set the OneNote clip options, via the icon, to "Copy
to Clipboard Only". Then make your clip, paste it directly into your image
editor (I use Photo Editor) without opening OneNote, and then save it in your
preferred format and preferred name.

Hope this helps,
Dean Basse
