Screen Grab or Print Screen

Hello

New to Mac here. One gizmo I'm really missing from a p.c. key board is Screen Grab or Print Screen (a thing that allows you to take a picture of the screen you are looking at, edit it and then use that image) Does Mac have this ability?

Not a MS issue:) But... Absolutely. In fact the OS X not only provides the
same type of "raw" screen capture but also provides a utility by the name of
Grab which is far more versatile. See Mac Help on the topic:

Hi,

Grab entire screen: Shift + Apple key + 3
Grab selected portion of screen" Shift + Apple + 4

The pictures are saved as files on your desktop.

There is an application in the Utilities folder called Grab which has
more functionality.

If you want to go the deluxe route you can capture just about anything
that can be displayed on the screen using SnapZPro (not free):
