Screen refresh error - with microsoft word 2004 and 2008 on mac

Hi,

I was a 2004 user and recently installed 08. When using tables in my
document the screen would often all go grey apart from the one section of the
table I was using.

Not sure if this is a graphics card issue or what. It was so annoying, I had
to select all so my mac would realise everything shouldnt be grey! and then i
could carry on.

SO.. i went back to 2004 but a similar thing happens- the screen seems to do
a 'refresh' for want of a better technical term- the screen sort of flashes-
in a similar way to how it did before- except without all the greyed out
areas.

Is it a known issue? i downloaded all the updates but none seem to fix it.

Im using a core duo (1) white macbook with the gma 950 gfx card.

Very bizarre- any similar experiences or help with this would be great. I've
gone back to 2004 and apart from the ocassionaly flash/refresh I dont have
the major issues that I did with 2008.

us poor mac users seem to get the rough end of the office stick for sure :(

cheers.

You really need to post this into a Mac forum for a solution. FWIW, if this
was a Windows version of Word, I'd blame the graphics driver: I doubt very
much that it is a Word problem. Word does stretch the graphics (and printer)
drivers to the limit and usually find shortcomings before other apps.
