screen shots disappear in document

When I add a screen shot to a document using ALT-PrintScreen, it gets
inserted into the document, but when i scroll to it I can't see it all
the time, I have to minimize and then maximize the screen many times to
get it to show up - What causes this behavior?

Using Word 2003/WinXP Pro

What causes the behavior is a buggy or underpowered video driver. Visit the
web site of the video card's manufacturer to see if there's an updated
driver for it.

In the meantime, you can try reducing the hardware acceleration at Start >
Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshooting.

Thanks Jay, I'll try experiment with it. One other thing, sometimes
when I try to capture screen shots with ALT/PrintSceen, the clipboard
doesn't collect them. I have the settings set to 'collect all the
time', etc.

Yesterday I had to log off and log back on to get it to work. Today
it's not working. It used to always work
