I am trying to eliminate the dependency on hyperlinks linking terms to the
glossary. Because with the new version of Acrobat 8 out the Previous View and
Next View buttons don't always display. Then when the user clicks on the
term, they are sent to the glossary and don't know how to get back where they
were.
My solution was to hover over the term and use Screen Tips to display the
definition. This option works great in Word 2002, but when I PDF the
document, the Screen Tips disappear. I still want to have to glossary but
without the links to it.
Another option is to hyperlink the term to the glossary, as we have always
done, then hyperlink back to the term in the paragraph of where you were. So
each word (1-in the paragraph your reading; 2-term by the definition in the
glossary). But that would be a work around, but yet it would work.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
