Screened Color in 2002

When printing directly from Pub 2002 to our imagesetter,
the color plates are printing 20% or so lighter than they
should. This happens with spot or process. The black is
OK. I usually go through a PDF route and have no problem,
but I ran into a file with unembeddable fonts. Anybody
have any help?

Hi,

what kind of imagesetter are you running? does it have a built-in rip
program? do you have the option to adjust black generation in color seps? if
you change the spot to one of the primary colors then send the document as
cmyk do yo get the same results? we used to have the same trouble with our
DPM but when we changed over to 150 line screen and send it over k+spot
(Pantone colors) it's been working fine
