Well, if you were getting that notification, then some sort of script was
trying to access your address book. Turning off the notification has not
stopped that access, it has only stopped the warning dialog from appearing.
If you are convinced you have set no scripts up to run, then something else
has. If I were in that position I would be going crazy until I found out
what it was.
First, if the dialog only ever popped up at application launch, that points
to a schedule within entourage itself. From the tools menu select
'schedules', and look through each one to see what is set to fire off at
launch and whether or not it runs a script. If there is nothing there, are
you running any utilities that list addresses etc in the menu bar (or other
places) like 'Entourage AB menu' or something similar? They could be the
culprits, and acting benignly.
If that search turns up nothing, then the culprit must be outside of
entourage. In this case I would expect the access to be on a more frequent
basis - did the dialog pop up at any time other than application startup?
First place to check would be in the startup items list. In the 'accounts'
pane of the system prefs, look at what you have listed under the 'login
items' page for your account - that is the most likely place for any startup
scripts to be launched.
