script editor cannot start - HELP!

O

When I select view/html source, I get a message saying the Script
Editor cannot start. There's a help button, but it does nothing. I've
tried repair and re-install to no avail. Any suggestions?
I'm a developer using Visual Studio 6.0.

You didn't mention the version of Word you're using. The MS Script Editor is an optional installation item up through Word 2003.
(It has been removed for Word 2007).

If it's installed it should appear on the Tools=>Macro menu as a choice. If it's not listed you can add that feature from the MS
Office choice in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel.

Sorry. Office 2003
It's listed in both Macros and under View as HTML Source.
Under Macos it is greyed out, so not avaialable.
Under View it's clickable, but produces the described error.
Looking through the installation it was located and set to run on
computer.
My DTS group is looking in to it, since they have apparently replicated
the behavior.
