Script to automate PowerPoint slide creation

R

Richard Zammit

I was wondering if anyone had ever come across a script to do this job, I
have to do.

I have a folder with a couple of hundred jpegs that are numbered
sequentially. They are all cropped to the same shape and size I want to
drop each of them into a new slide in PowerPoint without having to do it
manually. I initially thought this wouldn¹t be possible, but then realising
the numbers were all sequential, that it may be a simple process for someone
who is skilled at script writing.

Any ideas on this one?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Richard

One other thing ...Richard,

InsertPicturePPTX (Version 2.5 build 123003) PowerPoint(tm) Add-in
http://www.agentjim.com/MVP/PowerPoint/ppt.html
The add-in offers quick importing of pictures from files, folders, directories, mounted volumes, digital cameras,
scanners, RAM cards, and other image sources.

All pictures are automatically scaled to full screen size.

Hi Richard

The add-in mentioned by Steve and TAJ can do a bulk import in PowerPoint
2001 only. In PPT version X it is one picture at a time.

Hi Richard

The add-in mentioned by Steve and TAJ can do a bulk import in PowerPoint
2001 only.

That only works if the script is edited to use the FindFile function. Jim
sells a macro that does this without requiring editing, available here:
