Scripts in Office

Hi all

I have some Word 2007 and Excel 2007 files that were created on a
PC/Windows system. They contain VBA scripts.

Will those scripts still work if I use the same files on Mac Office?

If not what can I do to have them work?

Thanks!

Depends on which version of Mac Office... If Office 2008, then No, VBA is
not supported at all.

If Office 2004 or prior the code should run but may require some
modification. What -- if any -- will have to be handled on a case-by-case
basis. AFAIK, there is no "universal converter" as such.

Hi,

thanks for your reply. Does Office 2008 for Mac have its own scripting
language or none at all?

Office uses AppleScript, but I am not clear on the similarities and
differences. Microsoft has said VBA will return in the next major
Office release.
