Scroll Bar is gone

A week ago or so when I was working on a word program, something happened and
the scroll bar is now gone! I am stumped on this one. The scroll bar is ok
on all other programs and windows. Any suggestions??

Look in Tools > Options > View. There are check boxes for the horizontal and
vertical scroll bars. Maybe one or both are unchecked.

And note that, if this is about the horizontal scroll bar in Word 2007, it
is displayed only when it is needed to view the entire width of the
document.

Well, I feel quite elementary. I cannot find the tools/options/view anywhere
in Word 2007. (I would love to know this still...I have tried the options tab
after clicking the office logo as well as looking through all the tabs on top
with no luck). I did however solve the problem and I am excited to share
how. I followed the link to word.mvps.org from Jay's post and fished around
until I found the suggestion to goto start/run/winword.exe /a and by golly it
worked...I restarted word and the scrollbar is back! I think I may have
clicked at the top of the scrollbar accidentally where it highlights "view
ruler" and that may have made it disappear but I will not try it now to check
it. Ultimately, THANK YOU for helping out, it has been frustrated trying to
navigate documents without the scrollbar!
